All the lights are off

by Bella   Dec 17, 2009

You asked me for help
Said you'd over dosed
I ran out of class
Didn't even tell mum
Traveled two hours
Just to get to you

Called an ambulance
Even though I knew
You'd hate me for it
You ran up the stairs
And locked the door
When they got there

Turned off all the lights
Shut all the blinds
Told me to go home
Instead I sat outside
Back to the door
And told you a story
About when we met

You tapped on the glass
Where you'd raised the blinds
Just enough for me to see
I knew you were scared
That they'd take you away
So I kept talking
Laughing at the memories

You started to cry
Pressed your hand to the glass
I put mine to yours
And cried along with you
