Come Crashing Down

by Lady Nik   Jan 2, 2010

People talk about Princes
on white horses, waiting
to be swept away....
I'm fine with you my dear
and I hope we can just stay
here on this marble floor
glancing at the chandelier
Your soft hands cover my eyes
and you whisper
"I'm never gonna disappear"

I don't need a falling star to
make my wish upon....
Become my comet and come
crashing down on me.
Rock the world, shake my heart
and you'll know this is
where you should be.

I've had my fair share of
rainbows with colors galore
so many broken pots of
gold, I don't want anymore.
Enough stars in my closet
to keep it lit for years.
Done too much planet surfing
I'm better off here

With the heat of your
passion burning bright
as you hold me like forever
it seems we will be okay
just you and me. All I ask
is that you be that glowing
comet in the distance
crashing down on me tonight.

Okay I've got to say this is one of the BEST stanzas in poetry that I have ever laid my eyes on. I just... I mean wow. It's so descriptive and appealing. I mean I can really picture it and it's such a nice thing to picture. A great love poem if you ask me.

overall I loved the entire thing but that one stanza just really did it for me. :) 5/5!

I'm glad you've realized you don't need somebody who is absolutely perfect in order to love them and be happy. I believe most people throw away their happiness because they think there is so much better out their for them. Thats not always the case... Great job as always very good imagery and flow 5/5
