Intangible

by Rachel RTVW   Jan 13, 2010

Intangible dreams of happiness
Broken heart like a weight
With the strength of gravity
Can't we create our own destiny?

Solitary confinement
Prisoner of my own mind
Abyss of sorrow
Doesn't time heal all wounds?

Words left unspoken
Your tomorrow...... stolen
Literal heartache
Can angels hear one's thoughts?

Unanswered questions
Haunted by memories
Reminded by my subconscious
How can life be so cruel?

I never believed in ghosts
But I felt your touch
It was undeniable
Did you feel my regret?

Rachel, First of all congrats on the win.

This poem was obviously very personal and I'm sure one you hold deeply to your heart. I canno't even begin to express the emotion I felt whilst reading. I felt the ache behind each line and I truely admire your heart for writing such a beautifully penned piece.
