Monsters, agony, and a lingering scream

by Nicole   Feb 4, 2010

A scream tears through the night.
Heart wrenching and unheard.
Tears streaming down her face, her heart breaking more
Its a full moon outsider her window, a clear sky to boot
Its painfully warm to begin with, she's hotter every second
Every muscle in her body tensed up
wide awake and screaming to the world

A blade lies nearby, tempting and taunting
Already in agony... "but maybe" the only thought in her mind
Maybe it cane paralyze her mind temporarily.

Another blood curdling scream
she knows not what to do.
slashing at herself blaming herself for the death and the rest
There is no pain more intense then this.

No teddy bear, nor hug can help
She's alone, tears a salty waterfall, a raw throat from screaming..
She lost it all the day she lost her
Now in the dark she sees the monster lurking
clawing to breach the surface... no way to stop them
A last scream parts her lips, as a deserted playground appears
a girl frozen in place, the tears and screams have ceased

the monsters are in control now
a lovely girl in agony sees nothing anymore
