Once again here we are
Another year for us to claim
This year was the hardest by far
I wasn't too sure it would end up the same
In your eyes I changed more
You saw my imperfections unfold
You saw me break down to the core
You listened to all of my issues untold
You walked away in spite of fear
You left me alone face down on the floor
I couldn't understand how we had got there
I couldn't understand how you didn't want me anymore
You shattered my heart into a million pieces
I cried every single day
I knew if I could somehow make it through this
You'd realize what we had and come back to stay
I know I'm not perfect inside or out
I know I love you more than I can say
I know this struggle brought out all of your doubts
I know that despite all of that I love you anyway
We can all lose our way and hurt the ones we love
It's how we fix those hurts that matter most
I prayed to god to send me his faith from above
And it was that faith that allowed me to forgive you when I needed it most
You see I love you so completely
I've given you all of me and more
Call it destiny, soul mates, or simply you and me
My love for you is never unsure
Through all of the sadness, pain, and tears
A smile comes across my face
We made it my love to our fourth year
I always prayed we'd make it back to that place
