Not Deserving.

by Libbeeeee   Feb 10, 2010

City lights glowing,
Wind howling down alleys,
Cars whizzing past.

You can see your breath,
Every exhale shows,
Cold, frosty weather.

Need something warm,
Inside and out,
Warmth of a house, or coffee.

Looking,
Nothing to hide from the wind,
No leftovers from earlier.

Walking aimlessly,
Hungry, cold, tired,
Wishing for one thing.

One place to go,
One plate of warm food,
One warm jacket.

You'll learn eventually,
To deal with it all,
The lonely, cruel streets.

No place for anyone,
Not at night anyways,
Not when it's the only place to go.

The life of a street person,
A homeless person, drug addict, anyone,
No one deserves it.
