How I Wish

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Feb 10, 2010

Flashing lights and loud music everywhere,
People dancing and others stare.
I need a moment of peace and calm,
How I wish I was in your arms.

How I wish at this moment to look in your eyes,
It feels like catching the moon and holding the sky.
To be wrapped up in the warmth of your chest,
I failed miserably if this were a test.

Despite all that surrounds me it feels you're here,
Ever so far, yet ever so near.
My heart and mind seems to be with you,
No matter where I am, when and with whom.

How I wish I was holding your hands,
How I wish we were in a faraway land.
How I wish at this moment to look in your eyes,
Beneath us only hope and above us a glittery sky.

* The heart and what it desires. - Arabic Proverb

Walah, how nice. Things that we wish when we love someone and now if those wishes would come true. Well done.
