Hourglass

by Cody B   Feb 18, 2010

As life seems to change
the hourglass drains
The soul out of me
while inducing with pain
Always die never gain
we all live it the same
Just looking to blame
never admitting shame
Its crazy you know
how time seems to go
Before life is lost
in the winter snow
I used to wear a cross
given by my girl
But there is no god
in a messed up world
So i left it behind
and ill never rewind
The future of time
is never ending, I find
Us searching for signs
each waiting in line
With nothing to come
no peace of mind
I struggle and stress
with a hole in my chest
In a maze a mess
dying with the rest
They told me to stop
give it some thought
Why is time forever
and our hourglass not

I love that ending! the feeling builds up throughout the entire thing and then you throw it all out there at the end. very good =)

There is a whole lot of questions in this world
that needs answering but sometimes we are left with none..another good write, leaving
room for the reader to ponder..

Liked the way you ended it.. and left it open .. without a full stop nor a question mark.
