Emptiness (Essence)

by Meena Krish   Mar 9, 2010

Emptiness dress the eyes
numbness settle, pain dies

Tears have no room inside
sins bloom, with shame they hide

Mistake sees punishment
learns to live with torment

No mercy till the end
pen is the only friend

The Essence, created by Emily Romano is a short, structured form of two-lines, six syllables each with an end rhyme and internal rhyme.

A small amount of words that hold so much power and heart touching sadness.

    "Emptiness dress the eyes
    numbness settle, pain dies"

Wow. Such a great begining to a very truthful ending. I loved it. 5/5 -Cody
