Lonely Little Girl

by Brittany Klein   Mar 11, 2010

Lonely little girl
looking at the stars tonight
wondering if it was wrong
or if she did something right.
Laying in the grass
she was all alone
dreading for the time
when she has to go home.
Facing her parents
was the last thing she wanted to do
but what would you think
if this little girl was you.
All the problems of the world
laid upon her chest
not a moment of silence
not a moment of rest.
Asking up above
to her only higher power
"Forgive me please
my sins you need to devour."
Answering her prayers
He lifted up the pain
now the lonely little girl
will no longer cry rain.
