Reminiscence

by RoseBlood   Mar 12, 2010

One look into his eyes
Is enough to burn my insides.
One smile on his face
Has me lying awake at night, restless.

Thinking of him, rewinding in memories
Capturing lost moments.

Once, I'd forgotten about him
But, I died in the process, bit by bit.

How is it that the only person
That makes you feel alive
Is painstakingly forbidden
Being the one you cannot have?

But, no matter how I put it, or hide it
The three dots of our unfinished story
Have become just a single dot
That lets the ending have its glory

Though, late at night, I still remember
Losing inside my thoughts
Capturing once again those moments, so tender
Yet so far away, leveled down to just memories.
