Too Many

by CareBear   Mar 20, 2010

Here once again,
Back at this fork in the road,
I keep choosing the wrong path,
My imprints firmly engraved

And I know I'll chose wrong again,
Too weak to walk away,
Convincing myself I'm strong enough
Just to stay here and take hit after hit

You lie to me constantly
Blinded by love for too long
But I can see your every contradiction
Your words too sweet for your bitter actions.

I believed in you without question
I'd give my everything for you
But you destroy me without hesitation
I don't mean the same to you

Too many memories to just forget
Too many times hurt just to pretend
Your excuses don't hold meaning
You are who you want to be

You want to be with all those girls
It's the way you chose to be
Because if you really loved me
It's here you'd want to be.
