Frost

by Romancing the Darker Side   Apr 9, 2010

Wrap the solacious winter
In a flake of turbulent frost.
We've got to reap just one more blizzard
Before the season's entirely lost.

And if the flames could forever distract me
From the sting of the acrid cold,
Perhaps the sun will set on one more day,
Venerable, dying, frost-bitten and old.

I'll stay perched on Cloud 9,
Encased in fluffy, falling snow.
And if there's a way down,
Please don't ever let me know.
