Just Once

Its nice to sit beneath the stars
Just for once...
With buried scars.

Its nice to look toward the sky
Just for once...
And not to cry.

Its sad to know that lost in time
Out there somewhere...
Is a heart called mine.

BUT...

Its good to feel the sun can warm
Just for once...
A heart thats torn

And its good to know, a smile can rise
Now and then...
Behind blue eyes.

    This is beautiful... I love your style of writing here, and how you bring nature into your thoughts. Poems about/from the heart are my favourite. Your poem uplifted me as I read it, as my heart has felt sad and torn lately ( my poem "I'ill Never" that I submitted today is about how I'm feeling) ..
