You Will Remember

by Chelo   May 25, 2010

Amazing how two words you said, ‘it’s over.'
Dug deep inside me.
When I thought, we both loved each other.
How can this be?
I was always by your side.
Gave you my protection.
Stood up for you,
Even if it meant giving up my friends.
No, I don’t understand.
I was always there for you.
Is this the price I pay for loving you?
With cruel nights, crying for someone who didn't love you.
Maybe in the future you will realize what my love meant.
Then you will cry and realize what you lost.
Not one person will be able to compare the love I gave you.
Remember I didn't need you around,
I kept you because I love you, not to put me down.
I gave you all my heart,
And what did you do?
You split it in two.
Yes, I feel sorry for myself,
However, the pain will wash out.
You on the other hand,
No doubt, will realize your loss,
Cry, because their won’t be a way back to my heart.
