Memories

When i close my eyes
the memories start to replay
first the time you broke my trust
then the day you walked away.

I rememeber the times
you said always and forever
i didnt know forever could end so soon
i thought of a future you and i together.

My hopes and dreams
were crushed when you walked away
everyone says i know how you feel
eventually you will be okay

I find myself questioning
if i ever will be okay.
because deep down, i know
something inside of me died that day

Was it the lies?
was it the broken trust
was it just me who was inlove
and you only lust?

i gave you everything
right down to my soul
i showed you a side nobody new
and you left my heart broken and cold

I wish i new how to move on
but sometimes time cant always heal
i wear a smile, but deep down
i know this smile isnt real.
