Old Times

by Laurenf7   Jul 18, 2010

Tears rolled down my cheek
As I sat upon my daddy's knee
Tears of sadness and loss
The type no-one else can see.

We talked about the old times
The past and the people too
A true sympathetic hug
Our words were often few.

The pain we feel is similar
Although we keep our feelings inside
He misses his dad too
The tears he feels he must hide.

A father, A Granda,
A husband, a friend
It has been a slow process
But our hearts are finally beginning to mend.
