Oh wow, this is so true! i loved it... when i was reading this i was just thinking to myself, does this happen to me? and yes yes it does!

    "In journals and in notebooks
    Our secrets are revealed
    We confess, we proclaim
In hopes our hurt will be healed"
    - loved this stanza maybe because i can relate to it so much ! :D

This is a really cool title/idea for a poem. The best part about a poet is, even if they're lying about the feelings in there poem....it's reality to somebody else. The flow was pretty solid and you had a few unique words in there I don't see to often. Great job girl 5/5

P.S. You should see all the papers I have lying around my house and computer desks haha even my pants pockets have papers and started ideas haha

Yes! My room is the same. lol Its awesome. I loved how you put a voice to how we all feel. Amazing job. I really liked this. My favorite part was:

    If you know a poet
And doubt the words they say
Know that a poet never lies
    And believe what they portray

    Amazing. Great vocabulary too.

Wow at all the great poems about poetry and poets this week. This was an excellent read, and the core of the meaning is so true. There is a bit of a poet in all of us but this write justifies the meaning of poetry to us. Awesome job.
Worthy of a win in my opinion so it will get my nomination.

    Take Care,

Loved the last stanza!! OMG did I love that last part, WOW!
This was good, but it could stand for a few revisions. Something just to fix up the rhythm because some lines were too short after reading longer ones. The message your painting here is beautiful and honest to the core, so a touch up or two would benefit this piece greatly.

This line, when you write finish, add an "ed"
"Our finish product is our delight"

And this one, add an "s" to hurt, and maybe replace "will be" with "are"?
"In hopes our hurt will be healed"
    Great work. 5/5

Wow! I love this poem... First of all, I love poetry about writing poetry... because it's the one thing everyone can relate to on this site! I really liked the way you portrayed poets and I like how you say "poets never lie" .. but I think poets can lie actually since we express our emotions through paper and may deceive people about our emotions on the outside... But still loved the meaning of the poem! Well done :)

    "...dark lead words
Flow out from our hearts core"
    ^^
This is awesome, really grabbed my attention, I have often felt the words were a heavy weight I was glad to dispense onto a page.

    "We fight with inner emotions
Our finish product is our delight"
    ^^
ah the relief of having a finished product, we all relate well to this I imagine.

    "Our secrets are revealed
    We confess, we proclaim
In hopes our hurt will be healed"
    ^^
Ever so true but the last line's aliteration seals the poets faith.

There is so much depth in the poem, half rhymes, aliteration scattered throughout. I loved it and will re-read in the future...

I love this poem, its beautiful and every word held power and awe. I remember when I was a teen my mom wondered why I had a new journal every other week lol, mostly becouse of poems that I wrote, rewrote, and then ended up throwing them away becouse I didnt like them. I love it, and your right, a true poet never lies.
