Sleepless dreams.

by Black Heart Still Beating   Aug 12, 2010

On the floor my back is placed,
Eyes locked
Up on the ceiling where your worlds are laced.
In my Mind our memories roll.
All of them,
they take their toll.
A smile creeps across my
face,
lighting me eyes with
ecstasy at your warm embrace
Darkness creeps through my blinds
Encasing myself, but it only reminds.
The shrouded illumination helps me summon you with ease
Dark eyes resting on me sends chills down my spine like a crisp fall breeze.
Your hand finds mine, as if on cue.
Entwining our fingers,
I feel almost certain I'd be lost if not for you.
Spending my night lost in the safety of your arms
I see no appeal in others silly charms.
To me you're real.
Sometimes cold but solid, its as if your made of steel
I can't help but laugh
more for my benefit
than for your behalf.
Then sunlight does enter
And you slip away.
Back into the morning,
Where my dreams are not allowed to play
I wont see you again until the blackness
once more eclipses the day.
Sleepless dreams will engulf me once more.
Because only you, can make my heat soar.
It may seem crazy, but you help me stay safe,
when at night, my demons they do chase.
