The Same Shade of Gray

by Second to None   Aug 19, 2010

I apologize for my absence,
I only do whats necessary.
You physically hurt me,
So I quickly had to flee.

I had to run from you arms,
That only gave hell.
Your alcoholic ways,
There for years not days.

I left to my only option,
Move to my best friends.
Where I waited for your healing,
I left you at home dealing.

The hardest decision was,
If I should go back to you.
Sadly I came back to your charm,
Prisoner under your unforgiving arm.

The day that I came back to you,
Was the biggest mistake of my life.
When I returned and was forced to stay,
Everything became the same shade of gray.
