Who Are You?

by HollywoodSmile   Sep 8, 2010

Where are you now,
my sweet little saint?

I still spend hours,
staring at that old school photo;
Books in your hands,
braids in your hair,
band-aids on your tiny hands.

Who are you now,
a saint or a sinner?

Just like me,
or someone unknown?
Reminiscant of good times,
reminder of bad days?

I still spend hours,
reading old letters
from the people around you;
the people you thought you knew,
the people you thought knew you.

How are you now,
Older, still, than yesterday?

What have you learned
as youve walked this world?

I still spend hours,
dreaming of you;
so young in my mind,
so new to my touch,
so very far away.

Just like me,
to waste days wondering,
when i should be knowing,
should not be like this.

Where are you now,
my sweet little saint?

Would i know it,
if i saw your face?

Who are you now,
a sinner or a saint?

Just like me,
to ask again and again.

Just like me,
to know only your name.

Where are you know,
my beautiful child?
