Her fairytale

by XoXoBriannaoXoX   Sep 13, 2010

She never knew exactly what to do,
because there was never enough time.
She tried to make the best of it,
by being by his side.

The only way she could sleep,
is if she fell asleep to his kiss.
She couldn't explain how she felt,
when he held her in his arms.

She thought it was magic,
but all magic has a twist.
The fairytale that she was in,
completely fell apart.

The summer sun began to set,
and the leaves began to change.
But still this girl couldn't forget,
the words that he would say.

He told her she was his everything,
that she was the one.
He told her she'd be the only girl,
that he would ever want.

This girl so lost, broken, and confused.
Fell and scraped her knee,
She has yet to get back up,
because he was her everything...

Again, another lovely piece. I loved your third stanza the best, i like how you said that every fairytale has a twist! Great work!

Very nice free flow here, expressing emotion and that wonderful longing for happily ever after that most of us never really completley out grow I really enjoyed reading this

I was a little confused on how it ended but I think the sad, confused emotions within the poem were well portrayed and conveyed across the readers. Keep writing!
