Yours to Keep

by Christie   Sep 30, 2010

Manipulate the guilt because you know,
My weakest point, for your gain,
Heartless, cruel, loveless, I see,
But for you it's simple, you feel no pain.

You look into his eyes and you see nothing,
I see love and a tenderness there,
You'll walk straight past without a glance,
I wonder if he knows you don't care.

Despite what you've said so many times,
I know I never left you alone,
I left you were you belong, with love,
I left you where you call home.

So there is no guilt to be laid,
Just sitting in your corner to weep,
I'll never take your blame from you,
It is solely yours to keep.
