Maybe Again

by Of Sweet Insanity   Oct 18, 2010

I'll admit he swept me off my feet.
His heart was mine and he was good to me.
When we kissed, the whole world stopped.
At least for me. For him it did not.

I was young and let him inside.
I played his games and believed his lies.
It was lies because it wasn't the truth.
He told me forever, and that's over too.

He gave me hope, a reason to smile.
A person to love 'cause it'd been a while.
A fire inside, burning in my lungs.
Tears in my eyes, where did I go wrong?

It's been a month and he's moved on.
It's what he does, he knew all along.
Another girl he calls MY names.
Lines he used, they're all the same.

He did it once and he would do it again
But I'd take him back for the high he gives.
Just that like, he walked away.
Maybe I'll have him again some day.
