Mirrors Lie Too

by ibelievedhim   Nov 3, 2010

Days pass, and I no longer care
I lay in bed and continue to stare
So much to say, but I don't speak
Weaker I am if my emotions leak

Embarrased for myself that I even tried
Sorrier for you, I'd still be by your side
Mirrors lie too, I don't know that silly girl
Keep getting lost, just continue to twirl

Unfamiliar faces, lips move to beg forgiveness
No one looks up, as if I expected anything less
I threw away friendships and family for this
Sad as it is, they are not the ones that i miss

Holding on for you, makes me look like a fool
You keep making promises, you're just cruel
I'm so broken now, I thought you would help
You only move on, and listen to my sad yelps

Crying, tears stain the pillow, now I've lost my gift from above
Dying, starving myself for your attentions, your crimson love
Empty, just a broken little toy you decided you could play
Yours, I'll always run back to you, mold me, im your clay

Sad poem, Katie...it is always difficult to give your heart, you never know if it might get stepped on, or even trampled. But I do feel that we become stronger every time we heal.

    Very well written, sweetheart!
