Lost Hope

by rosalina calling   Nov 11, 2010

Run, run. The iron bars run to the wall.
Sweet freedom flees quickly through the closing door.
Rush, rush. The locks snap in place.
Light begins to weaken and soon disappears altogether.
Slowly, slowly. Darkness fills the spaces.
The jewels, the stars, hide their brilliant eyes of fire.
Hush. Hush. Silence bears down on the lonely.
