My Lovely Damsel

My Lovely Damsel

I see a million stars in the sky
And compare their brightness with your face,
Each splendid in its own,
Yet they fail to match your grace.

How heavenly your features look!
They live upon this common land,
How brilliantly they've been shaped!
By His majestic, crafty hands.

Every passing autumn & spring
Your beauty grows manifold;
Your radiant smile always brings
Rapture to my forlorn soul.

My words were never sweet
Before my eyes met you,
Sweeter you've made them,
And made me a poet too.

You're the one truly blessed,
God has created with care;
A look at you causes heartbeat skip
Oh the fairest of the fair!

Today in youthful grace you shine,
And so you will, in the seasons to follow;
One day I will make you mine,
And with you, I'll live a better tomorrow.

    Okay...I always come to a point where I have to stop reading from a poet's page and resume tomorrow...and I have come to that point now. I honestly can't stand too much sweetness in one day. :-)

    This is very very beautiful and yay, just what love makes us!

    Awww... this poem is so romantic and sweet. I love the way you expressed your love in this poem, so beautifully... I must say I love the stanza when you referred to this person making you a poet :

    "My words were never sweet
    Before my eyes met you,
    Sweeter you've made them,
    And made me a poet too."

    Well done! =D 5/5
