Whiskey Lullaby .

** just a poem made by the song whiskey lullaby-brad paisley. Just experimenting around**

"She put him out,
Like the burnin end of a midnight cigarette."
And now she sits all alone,
Shes full of regret.

"She broke his heart,
He spent his whole tryin to forget."
She was beautiful,
the most amazing girl he had ever met.

"We watched him drink his pain away,
A little at a time."
He wasted away to nothing,
Slowly losing his mind.

"But he never could get drunk enough,
To get her off his mind."
Nothing could help him,
He just couldn't leave her behind.

"Until the night,"
He finally had enough.
Couldn't take it anymore,
He could no longer stay tough.

"He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger,
He finally drank away her memory."
She was always on his mind,
She was all he could see.

"Life is short; but this time it was bigger,
Than the strength he had to get up off his knees."
He loved her more than anything,
He loved her deeper then the seas.

"We found him with his face down in the pillow,
With a note that said I'll love her till I die."
Why did she do this to him,
He beleived every lie.

"And when we buried him beneath the willow,
The angels sang a whiskey lullaby."
A sound so sweet,
Coming straight from the sky.

"La la-la la-la-la-la,"
Slowly day by day.
We watched him waste away to nothing,
There was nothing we could do or say.

"The rumours flew,
But nobody knew how much she blamed herself."
All she really wanted was him,
No one else.

"For years and years,
She tried to hide the whiskey on her breath."
She couldn't beleive it,
Had he really left?

"But she never could get drunk enough,
to get him off her mind."
No one could help her,
She just couldn't leave him behind.

"Until the night,"
She finally had enough.
She couldn't take it anymore,
No longer could she stay tough.

"She put that bottle to her head and pulled the trigger,
She finally drank away his memory."
He was always in her head,
He was all she could see.

"Life is short; but this time it was bigger,
Than the strength she had to get up off her knees."
She loved him more than anything,
She loved him deeper then the seas.

"We found her with her face down in the pillow,
Clinging to his picture for dear life."
She didn't mean to hurt him,
One day she wanted to be his wife.

"We layed her next to him beneath the willow,
While the angels sang a whiskey lullaby."
A sound so sweet,
Coming straight from the sky.

"La la-la la-la-la-la,"
Slowly day by day.
We watched her waste away to nothing,
There was nothing we could do or say.

Two lives lost,
All for love.
The angels keep singing their song,
From up above.

That was beautiful, I loved the way you played on the song.

This poem not only kept my attention, but captured my heart.

The only criticism I have for it would be:

""Life is short; but this time it was bigger,
Than the strength she had to get up off her knees."
She loved him more than anything,
She loved him deeper then the seas." This rhyme sounded forced, it threw off the rhythm

Aside from that, a phenomenal job:)
