Dad, We Love You

by Brittany Klein   Nov 29, 2010

If I wrote you a letter
And sent it up today
Would you get it by tonight
So you can understand what I pray.
Though the sky is much different
From on the ground below
I hope you can hear me
Before you have to go.
Just a little girl I was
Before you passed on
The youngest of three
Two daughters and a son.
Far more younger
Than my siblings I will say
But at seven years old
I knew how to pray.
Now eleven years later
I still weep and grieve
I just started praying again
Hoping to believe.
Life is much different
So far split apart
Not much left to say to another
It truly tears my heart.
So Dad if you’re listening
We all really love you
Even if we are all far apart
We know you love us too.
