Object of Desire

by Rican Chemistry   Dec 1, 2010

It can be easily confused, love and desire
A twisted combination and it blooms, spreading like fire
The mind, the emotions, such things developed for a sole purpose.
To make me blind to the objections, tempting me to be careless.
But I've also been made to fall for you, inclined to conspire and acquire,
The object of my desire that is you.
I see you and cant control myself, I feel you and I cant stop myself
The want becomes a stronger need and desire falls short itself
Passion turns the color crimson, when I look into your eyes
Your lips tempt me uncontrollably, and I know you do not realize
My blood turns hot when Im around you, it burns deep in my heart
It creeps into my soul, where I have loved you from the start.
For that is the reason, that is the bottom line,
Why this fire has not turned cold, why I must keep you as mine.
You are not just my object of desire, no longer just a craving for your touch.
The difference now is that I love you, the mix of both too much.
Desires may come and they will go, time itself will pass
But what I have etched into my soul, Im sure will always last.
