In Response To Your Rain

by Melissa   Dec 10, 2010

Quite frankly, my dear
the air never really sat well,
anyway

You behaved like thunder,
struck, with the ferocity
of lightening-
whilst I just stood there,
like a stunned daisy
caught in some unkind storm,
so limp with disappointment

    You write like thunder,
    struck, with the ferocity
    of words-
    whilst I just read it,
    again and again
    ...caught in a never ending
    labyrinth.....

You are amazing.... i keep reading this poem since last night and every time it gives me goosebumps....

  • Oh, and a big congratulations on the win.

A stunned daisy..that made me grin, he he.

Yes, sometimes a person could leave you feeling that way.

The poem was short, but you did describe the emotions you were going through very vividly and no doubt correctly.

    Well done,
