I wish I were a painter

by Phoenix   Dec 11, 2010

I wish I could paint a picture
Of a field shrouded in purple night.
With a dewdrop jeweled cobweb
Hit with a dulcet toned moonlight.

Maybe I'd paint my horses
To the side of my canvas scene,
And silhouettes of hills and trees
To give it a country theme.

But poor me, I'm not a painter
So my pictures drawn with words
Which leaves your 'viewing' to 'imagine'
And tears my painting down by thirds.
