Nearly a year

by Sildaekar   Dec 14, 2010

It's been nearly a year,
Since I last saw your face,
Run my fingers through your hair,
You're shape I would trace,

I miss your voice,
The way you sound on the phone,
That little high-pitched squeak,
And that angry tone.

But you pushed me,
Out of your life,
And left me to live with
The pain and strife.

I found someone else,
Whom followed in your wake,
But only one of us knows,
That this relationship is fake.

I am just looking for someone,
To fill that hole,
To pick up the pieces,
And repair this shattered soul.

But when she's around,
I still think of you,
Won't you please come back,
And say you want me too.
