Two P s in a Pod

by Ronald Edwards   Jan 2, 2011

Peter and Penelope
two friends
from the same school.

Pene was
the cute one,
Peter played the fool.

They liked
to go out swimming
or surfing trailing wake.

The ocean
was their playground
in which they d both partake.

But they never paid attention
to words
of caution told,

by others
who had witnessed
the many caught and sold.

Peter and Penelope
were told
of a cool cat.

Charlie
was his name,
with sunglasses and a hat.

Despite repeated
warnings
they liked to run with him.

Wasn t reckless
in his actions
never moving on a whim.

Then came that day
he mentioned,
I think I heard your ma .

See if it was
her calling,
if not tell them Charlie sent ya.

Poor Peter and Penelope
some say
twas act of God.

Got netted
and no longer
Two P s in a pod.

A nice story that had a good moral to it as any good story. Always listen to what people tell you. I t can save your hide sometimes or in this case your scales. Anyway the poem had a nice flow to it and I found it to be just a way to relax emotions and get calmness within yourself writing a short little poem.

Overall I found this to be a good children's story that can really teach a lesson to those who can read in between the lines. Great job and keep writing.
