My own little hole

by Katy   Jan 15, 2011

I have gone and done it again
Dug myself a deep little hole
But yet your still here
Reaching down to pull me up
I will admit that sometimes
I dig until my fingers are bloody red
All to try and keep from taking your hand
But once my fingers are numb
And the tears streak my cheeks
I give in and you always pull me up
To my feet once again
But this time I have dug so deep
Your now nothing but a shadow
In the light above me
Looking down at me from a distance
I can almost hear you calling my name
Telling me it's ok
Not to give up on you now
But I never once lost faith in you
I'm just to weak now to even say your name
So I will just stay in my own little hole
And hope that you realize that I may
Just be the one person in this world
That you are no longer able to save.
In my own little hole.
