Abyss

by shadow   Jan 20, 2011

Falling farther and farther down
The wind whipping at my back
Gravity never fails to be there
Whenever my world begins to crack

Deeper and deeper into the abyss I go
My mind so numb I don't even care
Waving goodbye to all the people in my life
All the people who were never there

For a mere moment, peace meets silence
This must be what it feels like to die
All my pain disappears into the darkness
No longer weighed down by the tears I cry

I won't miss this world for a second
Nothing here is worth the pain I've seen
Sad, hurt, angry,lost, broken, alone
It's all I've ever been.

So let this hole consume me
Let gravity pull me underground
6 feet, 10 feet it doesn't matter
As long as I can no longer be found
