Lost

by Wings Of Flames   Jan 20, 2011

So you've come,
To unravel every page,
The liquid hits your teeth,
And your mind starts to rage.

Hunt for me in the night,
Humming hits your feet.
Fight the broken tapping,
Another trail of meat.

Sweat drips from your palm,
Take the shot for pain.
You've really hit the light now,
Truly can you explain?

Retire to the tears,
You missed the scent of aching,
And remember what you had.
I tell you they're all faking.

Drop the tainted napkin,
Let all of the blood flow.
Did you miss what was there?
Or did you just not want it all to go?

The thing I love about your poetry is your words and how it flows so seemlessly, like the words are just coming naturally. I must be honest with you, I often don't have a clue what your pieces are about, but I still love reading them. Was this one about drinking, or being drunk? Something about numbing the pain? Even if I'm way off base and never understand your poetry, I do enjoy your work.
