Slurring Showers

by Faith   Jan 24, 2011

There is a place where
The orange spotted lillies grow.
When the wind is freezing
And the ground is covered in snow.
To get there you need not walk,
You need not breathe, or to talk.
Just close your eyes
And open your mind.
Wonder through the dark tunnels.
Turn on a light and you will find
The place that keeps you in a bind.

I float across a distance
to get to this flower.
I see no sun
Only white slurring showers.
Then I close my eyes tighter
To see the orange get brighter.

It's so close,
The orange spotted flower.
I reach out to grab it,
instilled with an instant power.
Everything was perfect.
I could breathe easily once again.
I had the only thing I wanted,
The love of yours held in a strand.

I sit here now, to imagine this place.
This world I wished was factual
Where broken is easily fixed
And not caring comes natural.
