The Way it Is

by ibelievedhim   Feb 2, 2011

Never wanted to die like all this before
Slashed wrists oozing and I hit the floor
Never cried tears that I didn't matter
Lies, your promises intended to flatter

No, never gave in like I'm giving in now
You crippled my heart and I'm like how
Yea I said we shouldn't do forever again
But I didn't mean for good, like the end

I just wanted a break for a few days please
Now you ignore me like I have some disease
I try so hard but you stopped trying boy
You treat me all the time like I'm your toy

Leave me now you know I never play games
I wanna walk but I run back to you in shame
Well its over now I know who you really are
You're not my moon and I'm not your star

The truth cries out loud, in the end. Lesson learned, saves a future blame.
