Gone too soon

by RustySoul   Feb 6, 2011

Too short a life lived
Too young for eternal sleep,
Though everyday your absence felt,
I try not to weep.

Lips that whispered sweet words,
Will never speak again,
Oh how they remain cold and lifeless!
Never again they'll call my name.

I still visit the places
Places that we loved to go,
Now I wander lonely without you
If only you would know.

With tears in eyes, flowers in hand
I visit your grave everyday
I kneel down and shed tears
By the place where you lay.

How my lonesome days are spent
There's none who knows so well
While you reside high above in heaven
But I alone in sadness dwell.
