Small words, big feelings.

by shadow   Feb 14, 2011

Love.
Such a small word for such a big feeling.
I've never felt it.
I never even had the chance.

Pain.
I have an empty heart silently beating,
It sits on top of my sleeve,
Waiting for this romance.

Hope.
Let's hold hands and stare at the stars.
Talk about all our plans and dreams.
Fluttering hearts moments after we kissed.

Frustration.
Merely a fantasy in my endless thoughts.
No one to love and no one to hold.
Cupid's arrow isn't the only thing I missed.

Love,pain,hope and frustration.
I just want to feel that everything will be okay,
As you hold me tight in your arms,
And tell me you love me every day.

Love. Such a small word for such a big feeling.
Or so I think.

Awesome poem, I totally know where your coming from. I just wrote a piece containing pretty much the same emotions as this, in a different situation of course. Keep up your writing, its good to read.
