Searching

by Larry Chamberlin   Feb 27, 2011

Like a recurring nightmare
I search for you in towns
along the Gulf Coast shores
finding only rumors you lived.

"He was here last week, or
was it yesterday evening?"
"Cheerful, friendly fellow.
Such corny jokes, though."

"Yes, he looked just as
you will look one day."
But today, it seems
I will look in vain.

I really find this very deep. Something said with so much ease but if read carefully...it has a very deep message.
    Beautifully written indeed.

all the best and take care
