What used to be thoughts of you
A numbness has taken over

My heart still beats and
My blood still flows yet
You're no longer inside me.

My eyes open and close but
I do not see your face
You're no longer beside me.

My ears can still hear yet
Your lies are not inside them
You're no longer my truth.

My mouth still produces words
Yet your name never leaves my lips
You're no longer on them.

My nose inhales and exhales yet
Your scent never enters there
You no longer consume me.

My skin still feels the touch yet
Your body's nowhere near it
You no longer possess me.
