Imagine With Me

by VeinsofHate   May 15, 2011

For my father: i love you no matter what

Imagine what it's like
To stare death in the face
To try to beat the cancer
To the end of the race

Imagine what it's like
To receive the news
That you're not gonna make it
That you are gonna lose

You just sit there in a stare
Knowing you're going to die
And all you can really do
Is let you body cry

Now imagine a loving father
Telling daughter the news
And the telling her that he will die
And why he's gonna lose

Can you even understand?
Would you know how to say?
And explain it in easy terms
About why you cannot stay

Now imagine crying every tear
Screaming all your voice
And telling your whole family
That you don't have a choice

Now if you imagined correctly
You'd be crying out your eyes
And I imagined correctly
And in the end my father still dies

This is really great. I love the title name. I like how you show that he tortures you from the core.
I like your description. Very well written. 5/5

Though I can imagine it as well, very well, my sister of all people, it is very good. Heartrending might even be a useful word. Yet it is very good.

I really like it. Very deep, I can feel your emotional pain. I could imagine and I imagined my grandfather. Good job.
