Bridges (mirror etheree)

by Larry Chamberlin   May 22, 2011

Guards
crossing
fight against
deny egress.
Opened for commerce
free flow of all people
throngs celebrate holidays
cultural links lead to friendships.
Insular conflicts cause explosions;
barriers resume exacerbate fear;
resolutions proclaim isolation.
Cultures devolve - lack inspiration,
consumers miss imported goods,
simple desires bring pressure
securities explored
open new channels;
communities
open gates
cross a
bridge.
