Love Flied Out

by celia stock   May 27, 2011

When love comes flying out of left field
and smacks you between the eyes;
The noblest of hearts must surely yield?
It does not take long to realize
the jig is up, you've been served
a knuckle ball, that cant be hit.
Life has thrown you a super curve,
there's no way out, you cannot quit.
Stand your ground, stick out your chin
you're done, just like an apple pie.
There's nothing left to do but grin,
and keep your eye on the sky.
