A Week In My Shoes

by Beautiful Forever   Jun 7, 2011

Time is ticking, my heart is racing
My life is wasting, I can't stop pacing
Then without warning... it all stops
Another tick... another beat...
(Again and again)

I see the debris of a world so lost
But I can't afford it, such a cost
To bring back everything I believe
Only this time, trying to deceive
The world into believing ... in me

A week in my shoes... can I make it?
There is so much going on, can I take it?
Together we are one, but will we break it?
Or will the world fall, leaving us forsaken...

I see the lies, I say my goodbyes
But will they hear my lonely cries
As my heart withers and dies...
(I doubt it...)

One more day, one more chance to live
I push and pull, will it ever give?
Our dreams fade and fall to the ground
Screams of my defeat are the only sound
(Over and over this world turns)

A week in my shoes, I won't make it
Too much going on, I can't take it
I am one, alone I can't break it
Again and again... I am forsaken
