A Shell of Nutmeg.

by Courageous Dreamer   Jul 7, 2011

I shuffle with ears dragging,
tail tucked 'tween legs
carrying my weight in sawdust
'neath bruised skies,
like that of my skin -

for I'm as sensitive
as a shell of nutmeg.

A slouched smile
plastered on my face,
though I find comfort in
nibbling on thistles
and the beauty of a pink bow
nestled in my hair;

though plucked one
too many times -
it brings optimism
I often shy from.

This was still so beautiful Temps...I honestly had no idea but the whole adventures of Pooh comes to my mind, you described this character with respect and admiration, because we all have those slouched days, but that pink little bow can stand for hope, right?

    Excellent and brings back memories.
God bless, hope your birthday was everything you hoped, probably a very long day!
