Do you remember the day
That everyone was
Dead or dumb?
That cat whose ninth life
lived out on tilt
A Story time sovereign
Tells ancient anecdotes
Full of jaded jokes
And left hooks crammed with quarters
Proselytizing on the soap box
Wondering why his sign language
Always falls on deaf ears
With a suitcase full of silver trophies
So polished they'd blind you

    ^Agreed :)
The only thing I will add is to remove the capital letters at the beginning of the lines. They are not needed and really do not fit into the easy eyes.

a very nice opening, though the poem was short but it made me feel inspired. :)
