A Mother's Love

by Stephanie Tangedahl   Aug 2, 2011

Life will put us in a tizzy
And the earth turns, yet doesn't make us dizzy

How is this when we're so cruel?
We treat our mother like a mule

We as humans feel we're used
But nature takes all of our abuse

Taking for granted her nurturing bones
Selfishly leaving her feeling alone

Wrinkling her once flawless, beautiful face
With our gray and graveled, permanent paste

And so it is that her head spins
Yet she keeps sane through all our sins.
